Hosted at Charlie Lichtman's house and garage, 1499 Sanchez, San Francisco, CA 94131

Start bringing sale items beginning April 25.  We would prefer that people bring things prior to the sale so we can get a better idea of what we have but if you REALLY can’t make it anytime during the week it’s OK to bring stuff the day of the sale…no later that 10AM please.  Charlie is trying to avoid his garage turning into a warehouse of unsellable goods!

People with garage sale contributions should either call Charlie directly on 415-641-8410, or email him at [email protected] to make arrangements and to make sure he's at home..

PLEASE NO CLOTHES (unless they’re either opera-related or extremely fabulous), or any computer-related stuff (hardware, accessories, software etc), and try to avoid kitchen appliances.

Costume jewelry seems to sell rather well.

As usual, we need VOLUNTEERS!  Last time, some people came by the preceding Thursday evening to help price stuff out – this really saved a lot of time and confusion during the actual sale, so it would be great to have some folks helping out.  Also, we need people around 8AM the day of the sale to help schlep stuff out, and during the sale, and around 1 or 2PM, when we finish up, to help schlep the unsold stuff back into the garage.  Volunteers certainly don’t have to commit for the entire sale, but if we get enough people who can put in a couple of hours (and hopefully stagger them during the morning and early afternoon), it’ll be a real help!  We especially need people who can come by around noon and stay till the end (most folks seem to be early risers!)

The garage sale days have always been a great deal of fun, and many people who said they’d just drop by for a little bit would wind up staying quite a while. Bring cash and have fun socializing at this great fund-raising event.
